Indeed it was informative and useful. However the new information added by the readers should also be weighed and the list adjusted. Big bang may be excluded as it is not observed or witnessed by anyone.(It may be added as Special). It is based on scientific theories and calculations. There are differences in theories when seen from the religious angles. In GOD revealed religions, the universe appears to have been designed and made by GOD in seven days. The most mysterious and full of wonders is the Planet Earth where there is LIFE and hidden resources which the mankind in constant process of exploration.

I’m not surprised maralinga isn’t on the list.
no one in the world seems to know about the Australian shame. People don’t care as much for innocent victims as they do for people who were either asking for it or engaged in war.
the victims at maralinga didn’t even know the country that bombed them existed.

I like your post as it has some really very interesting explosion history that have increased my knowledge a lot. I want to say that The Big Bang which is “Birth of the Universe” that occurred about 13.7 billion years ago was the first and the biggest explosion in the history of the world. But i wanted to say that what i think is the biggest and the most unusual explosion was the Chernobyl Nuclear Plant Disaster(which is basically an accident) that occurred due to human error in U.S.S.R. on April 25, 1986 which is much worst than the Atomic blasts over Hiroshima and Nagasaki which is meant to destroy it. Many thing outweight the explosions at nagasaki and hiroshima combined.
