Since my kids have grown up I rarely get to see Jupiter anymore. We have a telescope and the giants are my favourites and yes I love the picture. Maybe one day I could get a bigger telescope ...(sigh)

That is truly an Amazing Photograph! Look at it again, and remember that The Great Red Spot fluxuates in size between one and a half to twice the size of the entire world! (That's in terms of total volume vertically and horizontally).

(Depth-wise, it's relatively shallow in comparison, making it roughly coin-shaped on the whole).

If you took the time (and Money) to travel all over the world, including different parts of the different oceans, ...

If you walked from the southern tip of South Africa, caught a ferry across the Bering Straight, then walked to the southern end of south America, then got a private ship, went East and transverse the Atlantic AND Pacific, then walked across Australia, ....

Everyone and everything you will ever encounter, every place and everything you've ever learned about in the history of the past....

All that would be about ONE - THIRD AT BEST the size of That Storm!!!
But Wait!!

Now notice how LITTLE of Jupiter in that Picture it takes up!!!

Astonished yet?

I've never been to this site before; I must say it seems it really delivers! I'm adding it to my Favorites!
